mixed-media. 22" x 30" 2015.
This work is part of a five-piece series exploring the conventions of portraiture and portraiture's ability to both distance and involve the viewer.
Created as a mixed-media exploration, "Kaleb" was crafted through the layering of rice-paper, charcoal, acrylic medium and spray paint. This unique process allows for a blurring and blending of applications, similar to a glaze in a traditional oil painting.
